marnedog
I have a 35mm f2 af lens that I've used practically everyday. Well Murphys law got me. I dropped my Nikon N90 with my 35mm f2 af lens and my Sb28dx flash. The lens is now jammed and will not rotate automatically or manually, plus the flash foot was broken off. I have gotten the flash repaired but I need to know if it is worth fixing the lens. I have since replaced it with the newer 35mm af-d lens and the old lens is now a paper weight. Is it worth gettinf fixed or can it be fixed. Has this happened to anyone else tha has gotten this type of damage repaired? Just really have a need to know. This was a really great lens...Dan
gary_woodard
I would tube feed my F3 if necessary, sounds like you have a new35mm AF which is a nice lens, why not get an estimate.
james_ogara1
Great lens. Probably not worth fixing on "economic" terms as the replacement is less than $100, but maybe worth it to you anyway?
richard_meyers
I believe the only difference between the 35mm f/2AF and 35mm f/2AF D is the "D" chip so your new lens should perform nearly the same as the old one.
ShunCheung
Dan, the fact that you have already replaced the damaged 35mm/f2 AF with a new 35mm/f2 AF-D says it all.
hayward
I picked my AF 35mm f/2 up on Ebay for something like $80. I would guess a repair would cost at leat that. Nice lens, though.
