steve_armstrong1
Apart from a few items in the Photonet Google search I've not been able to turn up much else, but I'm v. interested in this too.
dark_star1
If you mean Epson Perfrction 3200 I believe this is a good place to get some info. http://www.photo-i.co.uk/Reviews/interactive/Scanners/Epson_3200/page_1.htm
dark_star1
But unfortunately I don't have any personal experience with this device. For two weeks I'm an owner of Epson 2480 and I'm really satisfied with it(but sharpness of the image could be better).
steve_armstrong1
No not the 3200 flatbed - this is the new Epson film scanner announced at Photokina. The F-3200.

jimvanson
I've been reading about it for months -- it has ended up sounding like vaporware so I bought a 4870.

rion_odenbach
There has been lots of speculation that the guts of this scanner are basically the same as a flatbed but just jammed into a smaller package. There has also been speculation about its ability to do ICE. It seems like it may not have ICE in hardware, but some type of software dust and scratch removal. 3d-aeropanoramic project
i had no time checking that epson f-3200 filmscanner but i was told by the operator that it is better than 4870. i have seen 30x40cm prints from 24x36mm-slides. unfortunately it cannot be used for very long panoramic films-longer than 35cm. the same mistakes like with nikon coolscan....price will be 500 usd. alternative would be plustek st-64 with 13x18cm (5x7). 200 euro only-november 04.maybe microtek i700 is an option too. plustek (7200 for 24x35mm incl.)was also shown at photokina but i had no time checking. i will report in my rotapancam-forum when i have seen testscans. http://forums.delphiforums.com/pancams/start
