Nikon 45 2.8 film issues in F80

I have found that I cannot load film in F80 when the 45 2.8 lens

(the new one) is on the camera. I have to change to another lens and

all is well. Has anyone else come across a similar problem.

I believe your F80 and 45mm lens are letting personality clashes get in the way of their professional responsibilities. A good talking-to is in order.

 

Or you could try cleaning the electrical contacts on your 45mm lens, and on the lens mount of your F80 (in all likelihood the culprit is the contact cleanliness on the 45/2.8, because the camera works as expected when other lenses are fitted).

To test Jims theory, do you have another body you can mount the lens on and try to load film into?

Make sure the 45/2.8 P has its aperture ring set to its minimum aperture. This might solve the problem.

easy to make the mistake since the 45 2.8 is the only (????) CPU lens without a min aperture lock.
