ilkka_nissila
Both the D2H and D2X also matrix meter with the manual lenses (with the max aperture set through the user interface) just like the F6.
dj_soroka
Thanks for the info that THREE behind the counter reps for Nikon didn't seem to know the answer to (each claimed the D2 series was a product that they hadn't been trained on). Anyway, the matrix meter symbol was blinking after programming in one of my lenses, so that was what led to the confusion. Also, the latest addition of the Nikon full line product guide indicates that the F6 matrix meters with AI'ed or later lenses (in the body comparison chart), but indicates that the D2X and D2H provide spot and center (doesn't explicitly say no matrix, but my source of information was volume 11 of the Nikon full line product guide - which indicates color matrix for F6 only in the case of non-CPU lenses). dj_soroka
The F6 and D2X are similar in that you can program up to 10 non-CPU lenses into memory (focal length and maximum aperture), and once done, simply select a lens by number you have assigned to it between 1 and 10.
