jim_mueller2
I've been dreaming of buying an EOS 600/4 for birding *someday*! At over $6K the chances are slim though. But what about a used Canon 600 F4.5 FD For Birds????? Has anyone tried this lens? I could buy a used T90 and a used 600/4.5 FD for around $1500!!! awahlster
Funny you should ask come on over to: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/CanonFD/ and you can read all about the 600mm f4.5nFD I'm currently restoring after buying it for well under $1026.00 on ebay. There were a number of other items in the auction as well that will be sold off bringing the price of the lens to about $800.00 BUT there has been much work to do on it. KEH has a number of these great lenses for your price range. And Like what do you want to know about the state of the art in Brid Photography from 1986? YES it works very well. I also have the 500mm f4.5L S.s.c. and 400mm f4.5 nFD for way less then a 400mm f4.0 in EF mount.
