abintraphoto
Can someone explain what appears to be the 'new' date coding system for Hasselblad (film backs in particular) ......... I'm seeing serial #'s on film backs which read - 30SSxxxxxx - What does the '30' mean and by the previous date coding, SS would translate to 10-10 using the VHPICTURES numbering system.... Thanks ... ulrik_neupert
Ken, in the Hasselblad numbering system ss translates to 00, so the film back is from 2000 (and not from 1010, Hasselblads are not that old-fashioned). Ulrik
gustave_moot
Dear Ken, The 30 in the serialnumber is a factory-code which indicates the product as being an A12 filmmagazine. For example, 32SS..... indicates it is an A24. When the serialnumber starts with an 3.. it mean its an filmmagazine, with an 1.. it is a camera etc. Best regards, Gustave Moot
victor_randin
Ken, seems nothing have changed, except a year, alas. SS means 00 (Y2000). But what does mean either 30 or other numerals before letters, nobody knows correctly. I heard suppositions only. Regards. Victor.
