kristenn_huffman
I would like to make a slide show and convert it to a VCR tape. Can anyone please tell me the best and cheapest route to take in doing so. I have tried Dazzle software and hardware, which were completely unsuccessful. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, Kristenn
mike kadlec
I have the ATI Radeon "all in wonder" card for video editing. The software it came with (Ulead Videostudio) allows me to place a still image into a video sequence and specify the time that it is shown on screen. I would guess this is how you could do it as well. The graphics card has an output to return the "movie" back to tape. This movie would be your slide show. I am not familiar with Dazzle, maybe you can do it with that program as well.
jeffyr
There are many slideshows apps available that aren't too pricy. Liveslideshow from totallyhip.com is about $50 and allows decent (but not great) control. If precise timing is not too important you can just use Quicktime pro (for mac or pc) and it's $30. With either you will wind up with a QT export that you have to get back on video. I have no experience with the dv bridge, but for a little more than the price of a converter you could get a digital 8 camcorder that you can hook up to your computer and export the video to that and from there to VHS tape. If you are using a mac imovie works great as well. jeffyr
