The removable hotshoes on early OM's come two ways, those that are already cracked, and those that will be cracked soon. If it's just a crack in the plastic, there's really no reason to replace it. michael_goldfarb Posted September 21, 2004 Share Posted September 21, 2004 For the record, I just got one from KEH in the last couple of weeks that they listed as being in "Bargain" condition - for a mere $9! (Ironically, the shipping for it cost another $9.25!) Anyway, it looks just beautiful and works just fine. (They had another one listed as "Excellent" for $10 more, but I can't imagine that its condition is all that much better... This one looks practically new.) It's supposedly cracked, but I've looked it over carefully, and I can't see any crack... Yet another experience with KEH's stock turning out to be much nicer than its stated rating...
