Re: my previous thread, I decided to go down the 330s road with a

55,80 and 180 lens. I`m sort of bracing myself with regards to

quality against what was my last decent MF (RZ)

I`ve been offered a magnifying hood @?70 or a cds hood @ ?120 and

from my memory from 25 years ago I seem to remember that the metering

on the hood wasn`t really all that acurate and might not be worth the

extra. I have a good handheld and would use it incident reading.

Go with the one that has two stage magnifier. If you have a decent meter already, the ability to switch magnifications is more important than CdS meter. The meter in the hood is uncoupled anyway, so there is no big difference against handheld meter. I am not big fan of old CdS meters, I have to admit.
