jon_manchester
I have 3 Grafmatics that are sitting on a shelf. I would like to use them but don't because the frame number in the image area drives me nuts . Is there a way to remove the frame counter w/out damaging it or the holder? louis_shu
The only way is to break off the counter disc with a needle nose, but once done, you cannot reinstall it back. Good luck. LOUIS
tim_atherton2
Yes, you can take them apart and remove it if you are handy with a screwdriver and remove the dial (you can do it so they can be replaced later). It's a little fiddly, but not overly so. There are a couple of little bits you have to make sure go back the right way around. Somwhere I think I have a repair manual that I used to guide me the first time I did it. If I can still find it I'll see if I can scan a couple of pages on general disassembly from it - make take me a day or so though.
tim_atherton2
Sorry Louis - not correct. If you disassemble and remove them carfully it's perfectly possible to replace them if you ever wanted to to so. And not terribly difficult to do. jon_manchester
Tim, Thanks for the info. I was able to carefully dissassemble the holder and remove the counter wheel. Took < 10 minutes / holder...
tim_atherton2
also give you a chance to give it a good clean out inside...
thirteenthumbs
I posted instructions on graflex.org several years ago before I got a factory copy of the repair manual. http://graflex.org/helpboard/viewtopic.php?topic=731&forum=
