david_tolcher
Have just taken delivery of a new i900 scanner. Unfortunately I cant install Scanwizard or Profiler from the CD. Error message comes up that "c:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'close to terminate the application ". I have installed silverfast and the scanner by allowing XP to find the driver on the CD which seems to work but need the applications to profile my set-up. I suspect a simple change to the austoexec file is needed - anyone have any insight to what to change ? Thanks Dave
jeremy_holmes1
Dear David, Please try disabling any anti-virus or other background software. As an alternative you can boot into Safe Mode to install the software off the CD. I've found that some programs conflict with installation of graphics applications and others. Norton for example used to give me fits when I tried to install some things. Please let us know how it goes. Jeremey

willem_numan
Maybe you should change the compatibility setting for the installer program to Windows 98....
