rich_deferrari1
It's that time of year again. Anyone planning to go to Photo-East to check out whats happening. I want to scope out the new digital camera offerings and do some meaningful comparisons. I am thinking the Nikon D-70 or Fuji S2/3-if I can get close enough to the booths.I have all nikon glass -so I think this leaves Canon/sigma out. They are always soooooo crowded. I miss the days where I used to be a presenter and had early access to the trade show-that was always great. Hopefully I can sell my Leica M-3's to cover the cost of entering the digital age- I will have to check out the auction forum. I hate to get rid of them -but -since last cla I have not used them -no time.Like many photog's I am a bit of a gadget freak and have way too many cameras hanging about. I do like picking up old manual ones occaisionally and getting back to basics -it is fun to work with old folders/classics etc.Best regards -RichD although its a job -it's still a lot of fun
fotografz
Rich, you say you don't have time for the Ms. Where do you get time for all the other gear? I predict you will regret selling the Leicas. I have all the digital toys you could dream of, but the Ms go everywhere with me, including every wedding I shoot. I never sacrificed them for digital even when I was short on cash. I'm in NYC this week directing a big photo shoot with a top NY photographer, and the camera I brought was a M7 and two lenses. They fit in my laptop bag and will go with me to all the prepro and shoot locations. But to each his own.

anton frid photography
From what i understand, i have to register to get in, and for just an expo basic admission its $40. Is this true? That means i cant just walk in from a street? Whats u with this fee? is it the same as buying a ticket at the Jacob Javits Convention Center directly? anyone out there been to this event? How much did you pay? Did you have to register? Can you just walk in, if yes, how much is it? thanx Anton
