Contax G2 Serial Numbers to Avoid

I am considering the purchase of a used Contax G2 and lenses. Are

there any serial numbers (or a range of serial numbers) to be avoided,

for whatever mechanical or other reasons that users are aware of, in

the case of either a body or G2 lenses?

Thanks,

I've never heard of any complaints. There was a ROM Update for the G1 to acomodate new lenses, but not for the G2.

I bought my G2 new and the lenses used, it just works!

Ok, one has to get used to AF, I've got some pictures focused on a wall behind my subject :-)

I am not aware of any particular serial numbers to avoid but I have reason to believe that my G2 focuses less well than it is supposed to. This problem was not improved substantially by sending back to Kyocera Japan for warranty adjustment. My recently acquired used G1 seems to focus more reliably and people on this forum rave about the focus performance of the G2 so perhaps I bought a dud. It's just something to be aware of when you buy. Thoroughly test the focus, preferably in conjunction with a tape measure.

Peng, try to find the focusing point within your picture, thats what I meant with getting used to. First the AF area does not slide with the viewfinder and second the area is smaller than indicated. I found mine to be in the upper third of the indicated area
