andy_piper2
I would never have looked for moments like this without having seen his work... I won't go all goopy over his death - he lived a long life, and a productive and influential one, and now that it's over, we still have the pictures he gave us, forever. I spent last night with a Dubonnet on ice and his book "The Man, the Image, and the World". My personal salute.<div></div>

andy m.
He really was extraordinarily talented, wasn't he? Seeing his image of the Parisian boy carrying two bottles of wine in "A galery of Fine Photography" in New Orleans, ten years ago got me into Leica photography. Nice pics posted. A poignant time, but what a great life.
Allen Herbert
Well i'm not into the groupie thing. However, he was a great photographer with a magic eye. To try to capture the spirit of his style....<div></div>
Allen Herbert
I always thought his style was very subtle; about form and shape. You had to look, and then look again?and, then think. Difficult to emulate if you looked beyond the obvious.
