calvin_lee
I'm suspecting that the multicoated version of the Schneider 210mm Symmar-S lens would have better flare resistance and color balance than the non-multicoated version. However, does anyone have any experience with both lenses to confirm or deny this?
arthuryeo
Yes, that is true. And, it is even more true for the APO version. But, if you're shooting b&w, this is not as important.
calvin_lee
Arthur, thanks for the confirmation. Unfortunately, I'll be using this non-MC lens for color portrait work most of the time. I'll just make sure I always use a hood.
christopher perez
You might be surprised at how well the single coated optic performs, even in tough lighting situations. If you can, do a test run with and with out a hood to see if it makes any difference.
