digitmstr
Hello all - I was just curious to see how everyone uses these two Custom Functions on the 10D. I use them either both set to 0 or... CF 4: 1 CF 17: 1 or
digitmstr
I should say this question is specifically for those who own Super tele lenses. I have to either borrow or rent them so, I don't get to spend enough time with them :) Thus, I'd like to know how those who own them and use them often use those CF. Thanks... paul -
Both 0.<p>I think CF 17 is only for certain big glass, which I don't have. :-(<p>What are you using it with?
digitmstr
I usually rent or borrow a 400 f/2.8 or 600 f/4 - I have experimented with both settings but would like to hear from those who own those lenses as to what they prefer and why (for the subject matter). digitmstr
I should say ANY applicable lens really - I am interested in the CF functions themselves and how other shooters use them...
jon_austin
Since you've opened the question up a bit (my longest lens is 70-200/4 with 1.4x TC), I have CF 4 set to 1 all the time. I love the ability to depress the AE lock button to focus, then releasing it, recomposing, and using the shutter button to lock exposure and fire. Since I don't have any lenses with the AF stop button, I can't comment there. However, since switching CF 4 to option 1, I've also changed CF 13 to option 4, thereby moving the displaced FE lock function to the Assist button. I'm *very* happy with this arrangement! digitmstr
I will try the CF13 option - sounds like a good combo. I don't use the assist button for anything so, that might be the ticket.
