cliff_lesergent Posted January 31, 2002 Share Posted January 31, 2002 Yesterday, I tried to order an FA 45-85mm f4.5 zoom for my Pentax 645N. The Pentax rep kept insisting that I wait until after the PMA in February, rather than buy the lens now. Of course, he wouldn't elaborate... implying, perhaps, that some new lenses might be introduced soon? I think we might see a digital back (insert) introduced, since Pentax applied for a patent on this a couple of years ago, and the new 645N-II apparently incorporates electrical contacts that might support such a device. p_l_jensen Posted February 1, 2002 Share Posted February 1, 2002 Two new zoom lenses are coming. No idea if they will be shown at PMA. They are: 33-55 and 55-110. I don't know the speed. In 35mm system terms they equals a 20-35 and 35-70, respectively. Rumors from japan says that digital backs for the 645 system can be expected. No info on when but almost certainly not at PMA.
