kymtman
Been using PSCS for a year now. I uninstalled it to install it on adifferent disk on the same machine. Installed great. When I went to runit will keep searching when looking for "searching for plug-ins" Let it search for 20 minutes with no luck. The plug-ins are in theirfolders. What went wrong? A big HELP! cfimages
Just a guess (I don't use CS) - have you tried re-installing the plug-ins?
beauh44
Hi Ron, You might have a look at Edit>Preferences>Plug Ins and Scratch Disks. PS might be looking in the wrong location or need to be told where your plugins are. Another possibility is a good plug-in gone bad. I've had to remove one plugin at a time, and restart PS each time in order to diagnose one that, for whatever reason, went ka-flooey. Good luck! kymtman
I can not use PS because it will not boot up and run, just sits there locked up "scanning for plug-ins". I have it installed on two other machines that I can use but on this machine it freezes up and this is my favorite machine. I am stumped!
beauh44
Ron, you might try resetting everything on the PS PC that doesn't work. Immediately after clicking on the PS icon to start it, hold down CTRL-ALT-SHIFT. (I hope that's right) This simply starts PS just like it was a "fresh" copy. If that won't do it, try removing all plugins from the PS plugin folder. Failing that, it might be Adobe Time (on the phone, that is) Good luck! joe4peace
Ron, I had the same thing happen to me and it was a plugin that I had just installed. I removed the plugin but I can't remember if I reinstalled Pshop CS. Pshop then worked correctly. I have not tried loading the plugin again.
