tom_johnson2
In the early days of my photographic life I was fortunate to have access to a well equipped darkroom at Scott Air Force Base, in Illinois, that all stationed there could use. This was back in 1965. I wonder if any one here knows if the military is still providing such services to it's members, and if so how are they handling the digital transformation. What kind of hardware and software are being used?
Jerry_
Best way to find out is to check with the services squadron or public affairs office of the base in your area.
deepblue
As far as I know they are pretty much all digital at most bases. I've seen a variety of Digital SLRs used by the staff at several bases (Nikon, Kodak, Canon). A few Hobby Shops may still have darkrooms, but I haven't seen one in a long time. kevin_krumwiede2
When I left NAS Atlanta in 2001, they were closing up the darkroom and the base newspaper was going all-digital.
