I wanted to publicly thank Steve Wong for sending me his old

Summarit. Just picked it up the other day and will go out shooting

with it tonight. I learned how to shoot with a 50mm, using the Summar

on my grandfather's III for three years before buying my own RF.

These days, I rarely use this focal length, preferring to get close

with the 35 or 24. I think it's a good exercise for regular shooters

to go back to basics every once in a while, and try shooting

everything with a "normal" lens. That's my plan; I'll post results

when I have a chance. Thanks again Steve; it's not every day that

somebody gives away a Leica lens! I feel very lucky. I will be

sending a donation to MSF / Doctors without Borders.
