jacobmiles
Hello. I have a Nikon D70 and the SB-800 Speedlight that works with it. I currently use the hot shoe coil cord to use the speedlight off-camera, but I'd like a wireless solution that does NOT require that I use the camera's built-in popup flash to trigger anything. I'd like to have one wireless solution that lets me: - use just the speedlight with TTL metering- use the speedlight plus a (rented) pack/head system, using a flash meter (if TTL is an option here, that would be great too). Obviously, the smaller and cheaper the solution without sacrifi8cing reliability, the better. What solutions have people come up with for this? Thanks. - Jake
jacobmiles
Me again. As I do more attentive searching of the q-and-a forum, it seems like everyone ultimately recommends a Pocket Wizard or some other radio system.
aardvarko
or you can get some slide film developed without exposing it, ask them not to cut or mount it, and then tape it over the internal flash of your D70. It will block visible light but pass infrared light through, which is sufficient to trigger optical slaves.
