ryan_mcintosh
What would you use in black and white film for photographing the morning ocean coast fog? Would a blue filter be able to cut thru it better? Yellow, Red polorizer, green, orange? What results would I get from each? THANKS!
jbq
Red.
dominic_.
Red is correct, blue enhances haze, fog, etc. IF you don't have a red use a yellow or orange filter.
mskovacs
Try infrared film some time. By using an IR filter you can cut it down even more yet.
alex_lofquist
No filter will reduce the effects of fog: The water droplets are too large, and will scatter all visible light. On the other hand, the previous suggestions do apply to reducing haze, which has high levels of violet and ultraviolet light.
helenbach
I agree with Alex. Haze and fog are very different. Best, Helen
todd_phillips1
Don't REDUCE the fog!! Shoot while it is there. There are many of us who pray for fog on costal or forest/mountain shots...especially in B&W. Just wait...it will burn off soon enough.
