kevin_lackey
The 54MZ-3 can be used on any camera with either a hot shoe, or pc terminal. For cameras without a hot shoe, like the 1000s, you would need some sort of bracket, and a Metz pc cord #5534.
eric friedemann
Don- 1. As a lawyer, I have to inform you that only attorneys are allowed to use the word "subject" as an adjective. 2. What Kevin said. 3. There is a non-TTL Mamiya module for Metz (now there is also a TTL module for the Mamiya AF 645, but that isn't important here). I would just use the standard module with the Metz 54MZ-3, though, as: a. I cannot remember whether the Mamiya module would provide an extra function with the 1000s; and b. even if the Mamiya module did provide an extra feature, it would only be a viewfinder flash ready light. pete_andrews
If you have the AE prism finder; that provides a hot-shoe fitting. Single contact only, so no dedication of any sort I'm afraid, but it shouldn't be a problem. In my exerience, the built-in auto sensor on Metz units is very accurate.<br>I don't know whether the plain prism provides a hot-shoe or not. I'm sure someone here will tell you.
