chris_rini1
Hey all,Would the Kodak (Nagel) Vollenda with an f4.5 lens have the same lens as found on the American Kodak Vigilant Six-20 with the f4.5 105mm anastigmat? Thanks a lot.Chris Rini
curt_saxton
Hi Chris,I really don't believe so as the Nagel Vollenda used a Schnieder Radionar Anastigmat while the Vigilant Six-20 used either a Kodak Anastigmat or a Kodak Anastigmat Special which I believe is a Tessar formula. Hope this helps. Curt in Canada.
mike_elek
I think these cameras were made on different continents, so it probably was impractical for Kodak to ship lenses across the Atlantic. Most likely, the Vigilant lenses came from U.S. suppliers, while the Vollenda used German suppliers ... mostly Schneiders, rebadged Schneiders, Carl Zeiss Jena and the occasional Elmar -- though I don't know if any of the Nagel 620 cameras used a Leitz lens. I've seen at least two other Nagel cameras: Pupille and Vollenda (Type 48 using 127 film) fitted with Elmars, which always pushes the price to ridiculously high levels.
