D100, bellows, and metering

Hi,

after being encouraged by others' successes in Nikon gear

modification, I decided to chip a small extension ring so I can use

ttl metering with my D100 and PB-4. Here's a little web page on how

it went: <a

accordion. It was less difficult than I expected, considering

that I have poor skills for mechanical work, so maybe others want to

try something similar just as well.

Yes, you can add a chip to a Nikon E2 or M2 extension tube

also then use a BR-4 (w/ non-AF) or BR-6 and BR-2a (w/ AF) lens

and youll be in business. If useing a PB-6 these functions

are already built into the bellows. With a PB-4 or tubes only you

will surely want the BR-4 or BR-6. These tubes add semi-auto

aperture function with a duel cable release or cable and

electronic release for a considerable improvement in convenience.

Please photo see below.
Adding a chip to a tube with a bayonet already drilled for the

contacts makes the job easier. Any chip that will fit will do.
