david_goldfarb Posted January 15, 2005 Share Posted January 15, 2005 In general, the exposure for a floodlit building at night will be about 1/4 sec. at f:2.0 at EI 400. I've found this to be pretty reliable, no matter how close I am to the building (across the street or a mile away), barring other considerations like fog. It's also interesting (or maybe not) that floodlit buildings in cities are usually lit to about the same level. So I don't believe that the camera to subject distance matters even at great distances.
