One doesn't often see such clear photos about the insanity of human conflict these days, with all the censorshp and self-censorship that goes on in "regions of conflict." One of the ironies that didn't escape me was the appeal of the Georgian President for Russia to leave his country, as it is a "sovereign" nation. Meanwhile, Georgian troops had to rush back from Iraq, a "sovereign" nation that they were occupying (or is it called helping?), in order to repel the Russian troops. The comedy of war and language.
