paul_graham4
I remember reading an advert from a lab in NYC that boasted of getting clean smooth even skies in the sheet film processing. - anyone know or remember which one that was? or can heartily recommend another one. (I use color neg - C41) thanks, paul

Troll
Sorry Paul; my mistake. I didn't notice that you need C-41 color processing.
andy_bettles
Paul, The Lab you refer to is LTI,one of the larger labs in NYC.The process they are selling is more expensive than a standard process and they shroud it in mystery!! I remember someone describing it as a combination of slowing or speeding one of the devs up(or down) in combination with a temperature change, nothing really earth shattering and in combination with a price hike is it really worth it? I have a long term relationship with my lab ,John'os on Grand St.They do a really good C41 process and contact, they are small but really efficient and professional. John is an English B&W printer who opened a lab over here a couple of years ago after being in London since forever! He prints for Nick Knight,Craig McDean,Solve Sundsbo et al.So not only can you get your colour negs D&C'd but your B&W too!! telephone no is 212 965 5190. michael_briggs2
The ad that you are thinking of is on the inside front cover of the July/August issue of View Camera magazine. I haven't known mottling to be a problem in C-41 processing. Has anyone compared the results of regular C-41 processing to the special process of the LTI lab?
