andrew_rose
Um, B&H sells TWO black Leicavits: One labeled "Black" and the other "Black Paint," their numbers are 14009 and 14450, respectively.
rich_weiss
I had a black paint one, but traded back to dealer (Eli Kurland) for black "chrome" which matches my M7 black "chrome". This is a new item, just released in the US over the last few weeks. As far as I am aware there are 4 versions:chrome, black paint, black chrome and hammertone. rich_pinto
Hey Mike, Mr. Weiss is correct. There are 4 versions, soon to be five when anthracite hits in Japan. (*strong rumor!<g>) The black chrome one matches the black chrome M6 pretty well. Black paint and chrome are just the same as those finishes on the cameras. The hammertone one doesn't look half bad on a chrome camera either. Of course it is for the Hammertone MP. I hope this rumor isn't true, but I was told today the price for the anthracite MP with lens and vit at a major Japanese dealer is said to top $9000!!!! <ouch> Guess that is why it is a Japan-only releaes... ? ;> Someone please tell me this is wrong...I like the idea anthracite so much...it wears the best of all the finishes Leica ever made. cheers, Rich
