how to enlarge the pictures?

Recommended Posts

hello! I was a litle surprised this morning with the changes in the

PN Web site. A question now...before, you had the option to view a

small preview of the photos an then had the option to push a link to

enlarge. Now that option is gone and aparently now you can only view

the smallest an lowest quality version of the pictures? I'm I

mistaken? is the option to enlarge somewere areound there? Or this

is it?...If its final is really sad because you can't get the fine

details in picture by wathching this low definition previews.

Well if Im wrong please tell me, if otherwise then excuse me.

Albert.

Alberto, my images are all showing as the "old" medium version, no thumbnails and no large. I don't necessarily miss the small version, but do miss the large option, although the eye is drawn to the image only without the distractions of all the print, and without having to scroll. That is a plus...makes the image "appear" large without the space taken up on the server. Still, since most people want their image viewed as large in the old system, I suppose there will be complaints. Also people scrambling to find new ways to upload their images at the highest file sizes...sigh.......

It is a huge, huge relief to find out that the 'LARGE' view option will be back. There is so much good stuff here to appreciate in the largest size possible; and there are few other photography sites with the "no we cannot afford the bandwidth size" photo galleries. Why am I not a member? I am a graduate student, period.

In the mean time to view large you can do this.

<Right-click> on the photo and click properties.

Copy the address (URL) of the image.

Click <OK> and paste it in the address bar and change the last work of the URL from md.jpg to lg.jpg and press <Enter>.
