Downloading malfunction D100

While trying to download some120/130 pictures from D100 the pictures

for some reason were deleted from a Lexar 256 card. I previewed the

pictures and went to download them onto a disc. All pictures for

some reason had been deleted...I have followed this process many

times in the past without any problems...Does anyone have any ideas

what might have caused this..In the norm I normally download some

50/75 shots without any problems..

You need to look at the CF card with a card reader, rather than a camera connection. That way, your computer sees the card as a disk drive, so you can see all the nooks and crannies, and use diagnostic/repair tools as well.

 

Among the possibilities are a change in directories effected by the camera, or duplicate file names overwriting others during the transfer. Of course, the files could be simply lost or corrupted on the card, possibly due to errors in the connection.
