albert knapp md
Todd: There are several great reasons that include 1) quality of construction (while it may not be perfect, it is better than Nikon-my prior system, 2) superiority of optics-no question here especially in the zoomlenses from Solms, 3) excellent service-the Passport plan is great and I have always paid the extra to convert it to a five year plan 4) well thought out M and yes R systems. I sold my Nikons four or five years ago and now have two R8s and one M7. They are fantastic.

charles_carpio
I'm lucky to have bought a Leica R8 at 20 years of age (that was a year and half ago). I never knew what potential it would release from me. Some say I started on the right track, others say: "you have a Mercedes Benz!". The red ball is like the "right" girlfriend, we both match: we both like quality not quantity, it feels good, and she understands me just like I do. I will never go back! I married the company! I always get the "nice picture" saying.....but I say "it's not a picture its a photograph!". I hope it makes sense to all the pro and dedicated photographers out there. "My point of view". charles a. carpio jr.
