stroboframe anti-twist for D100

Hey all!

I just got my Stroboframe Pro-t, and my sc-17 anti twist plate, but

no twist plate for the camera itself! Nowhere on stoboframe's

website, NOR on BHphotovideo.com does it give a plate designed for

the Nikon D100. So when I placed my order, I asked the sales guy at

BH which one would be compatible, if any at all. He put me on hold

to go ask somebody... came back 2 minutes later, and told me to

purchase 300-NF4, the one designed for the F4.

Well, the plate doesn't fit. It ALMOST fits, but doesn't. So now I

have to spend more money, shipping this thing back. Load of crap!.

Does anybody know WHICH model ACTUALLY fits the D100?

Thanks all. Much appreciated.

Brandon:

I use the Stroboframe 300 (NOT NF4). The 300 is described as general purpose anti-twist plate for "most SLR's" and works reasonably well with the D100. There is some slight play, but I haven't found it to be a problem. To my knowledge Stroboframe does not make a specific anti-twist plate for the D100. (The recommended plate for the N80 is the general purpose model 300).

Frank,

The Stratos 835 is pale in comparison to the Pro-T. The pro-T is a pro level bracket good for shooting land or ports, with adjustable height etc.. They just sell the anti-twist seperate, becuase they are camera-specific.

For now I don't think I need one. The anti-twist for the sc-17 however, is a must, which works great.

Brandon,

do not give up: the Stratos 1035 or 1135 (can't remember) have an expandable post, are much cheaper than your misStrobo and still are better to hold, use, ... than any of those Strobo antitwist toys. Just explore B+H a bit or their own website and see for yourself.

That these look simple by comparison with the Strobos is the function of their superb design. They are very functional and intuitive, no clipped fingers either in use ...
