Are Most Weddings Now Done In Digital?

I guess it depends on how picky one is Jay. Only 2% out of 300 shots doesn't sound picky

to me. But each photographer's criteria can be different. For example, photojournalistic

work is a bit more risky than plotting out each shot, or following a set plan of shots.

If I just dump the OOF shots and ones where the bride doesn't look good, then my ratio is

usually about 10 shots out of 100 that I don't want the couple to see. But I am more picky

than that, and dump at least 20 to 30%. If I shoot digital, I usually end up with 400 to 500

images and process about 200 to provide to the couple.

Editing is as important as shooting IMO. But to each his or her own.

2% 'non keepers' out of 300? Does everyone who shoots film have that kind of ratio? ....;)...J
I pitch between 1 to 4 images per roll of 36. When I first started shooting weddings it was more like 6 to 8 from each roll.

only 10% of my clients ask for digital.
A lot of my clients are technically challenged.
They feel comfortable with film.
I also scan some of the best shots and give it to them as free gift.
So, they have digital files of good images anyway.
I hope more people would ask for digital, it will give me an excuse to upgrade my camera.
