gabriel_roca
Hello all, In scanning some auctions on ebay for photographic equipment, I came across an auctioner who has 2 items listed, using the same photograph for each item. This seemed rather odd, although, when I went through the seller's ratings, he is nearly spotless and has had 2600 transactions? Any thoughts on this? It's a rather pricey item and I certainly wouldn't want to lose a bundle of money. Many thanks in advance.
bobar57
In cases like this, it is wise to send an email to the seller and ask for individual photos, if possible 2 with the serial # in the group of pictures. Good luck,
dan_long
It's most likely an error made by the seller in listing the item. I know, I've done it. I'd use the ebay message feature and ask them. They may appreciate the fact that you let them know of the error.
scott_warn
Don't forget to check the recent sales to make sure that your seller is not someone using a hijacked identity. One common practice for scammers is to do a cut and paste job on their auction listings. If you go to the feedback page for your seller and click on some of the recent auctions listed you can see what your seller has been selling. Sadly these scammers like to hijack the identities of good sellers to perpetrate their frauds. The good news is that they haven't been smart enough, at this point in time, to only hijack identities that deal in the items they are trying to pass off a real bargains. I once used to watch the D1X auctions and most of the so called bargains were being sold by highly rated sellers whoes prior experience was in selling doll clothes or golf clubs.
