Ed_Ingold
I took this about 10 pm Friday, near Chicago, as far from city lights as I could manage. Because of light pollution, I couldn't see it without binoculars. I tried to use my Sony 100-400, but couldn't find the comet. Once it gets really dark here (about 10:15 pm), the viewfinder is useless, filled with swirly noise. The mosquitos were ravenous. I forgot I had a red dot finder for the flash shoe, which could be used with binoculars to find really dim items in the sky.
