Rick_van_Nooij
Earlier this month I went to an annual Music Festival held in the park close to my home.
Like back in 2010 I decided I wanted some close-ups of the musicians. To this end I carried my Leica IIIc (1942) with a coated Leitz 90mm f/4 Elmar (1937), also put on a FIKUS hood and a VIDOM viewfinder to complete it.

The weather and light was all over the place during these two days. From bright sunny to gray and rainy.
I was afraid the FOMAPAN 100 Classic I started with on Saturday would not be sensitive enough. I shot mainly at f/4 - f/4.5 at around 1/100th of second and got away with very little motion-blur.

On Sunday I came back, this time with some Agfa/Rollei Superpan 200 (which is actually Agfa Aviphot 100 film) in the camera.
The one-stop boost was just enough to offset the loss of light from the overcast skies.

1. Negatives came back rather thing.
This led me to starting processing my own film again. More on that at another time.

The festival was great fun, despite getting soaked a few times in the rain. Looking forward to going again next year.

Andrew in Austin
Rick - your compositions look pretty good for using the VIDOM finder. What did you use to meter with?

Best Regards,
Best Regards - Andrew in Austin, TX

john_shriver
Brave man using a VIDOM for action shots! The VIOOH is sure a lot easier not being mirror-imaged.
JDMvW
Great shots. My kinda gals too. ;)

During the war, there was an American-made Leica finder of similar, if not identical, type. My copy of it is from Wetzlar, however. Ironically, it was cheaper than the Soviet-made copies.

rick_drawbridge
Fine images, Rick, many great moments well-captured. A great-looking bunch of musos, if ever I've seen one; I really like #'s 8 and 10. Great tones from both films; I assume there are images from both the Fomapan and Rollei 200 in your selection? What developer did you use?

Rick_van_Nooij
Jon, you mean the IMARECT (*stop chuckling in the back!*), an almost straight copy of the VIOOH. Except the way how the back was screwed on.
The VIDOM only has 3 prisms against the 4 in the VIOOH, it gives a clearer picture to me, eventhough the image is mirrored horizontally. My sample of the VIOOH is pretty hazy though.

Rick, the first 6 are on Fomapan 100 classic, the rest are on Agfa Superpan 200.
chuck_foreman1
Well Done Rick I especially liked the ones with a bit of fog. The contrast worked real well Excellent job with a RF!
