john_wire
Here's a 35GL pix taken on a cloudy afternoon using Kodak 800-4 film. So far, "Minnie" has proven to be a sturdy performer. She's been dropped several times from my shirt/coat pockets with the lens retracted with no apparent problems; however, just prior to this shot she slipped out of my hand while climbing about with the lens extended and the cover cracked. Great sturdy camera IMHO. Regards.
jeffpolaski
Nice shot, John. However, I would say that since "Minnie" seems to hold up well, you should be a bit more careful not to break any of your own bones. ;-)
john_wire
Thanks Jeff. Now that you mention it, I was sort of trail jogging with my Zorki 4 and a collapsible Industar on a wrist strap when I mis-stepped. I worried more about the Zorki than "Minnie" in my shirt pocket or my old bones. No doubt these old Minox's were designed to handle some rough times. On another trip in a canoe, I was paranoid about protecting my Canon FD200 and unconcerned about Minnie. Regards.
john_wire
"Minnie" will never "make it" in the field of architecture. <center><img src="http://d6d2h4gfvy8t8.cloudfront.net/5551995-lg.jpg"</img> Regards.
MTC Photography
The biggest enemy for Minox 35 is dust. The extending and retraction of the lens acts alike a wind bellow drawing dust into the camera and clogs up the shutter magnet rendering shutter in operative. john_wire
"clogs up the shutter magnet rendering shutter in operative" Martin, how do you repair the shutter when that happens? Regards.

john_wire
Thanks J, interesting lighting and film. The Max 800 is great at night but I think it is a bit red in daylight. I probably should desaturate some after looking at it for awhile. I'll probably be back later with a MF/LF and different film. Regards.

john_wire
Hi Martin, thanks for the info, when I repair "Minnie's" cover I'll clean the magnet and other stuff inside.<P> Again, "Minnie" will never "make it" in the field of architecture. <P><img src="http://d6d2h4gfvy8t8.cloudfront.net/5764382-lg.jpg"><P> Regards.
