Sorry to be so ignorant but I never was any good with acronyms: What the heck does W/NW mean? Thanks. TD
Forget the colour...what the hell is a acronym. Dropped the yellow, Tom. Sure yours was just a bad scan. Hope you don't mind. Yellow reflection,Grant.
An acronym is a word formed from the initial letters of a name, such as WAC for Women's Army Corps, or by combining initial letters or parts of a series of words, such as radar for radio detecting and ranging. Others are: HPI = history of present illness PE = physical exam TB = tuberculosis GE = General Electric Like that. Best, Tom
Only kinding about the acronym. That will teach me for being a smart arse. Anyway, a different sort of.....
Is it too yellow? It looks ok on my monitor, but that don't mean it's right- I changed my scanner/computer/printer settings recently and altho it's been working for prints, I don't know what it's doing to uploads. Thanks for the heads up, I'll take another look.
Tom. my nikon scanner was doing all sorts of strange things before it went finally to heaven. Don't let it be a bother.
Tom, the above required massive correction with the Hue and Saturation control in PS just to get it within the range of normal. On my monitor the skin tones read just a bit red/pinkish.
I'm taking a PS course now btw, learned tons. Skin color correction is best done with Hue and Saturaion <CLrt U> using the Red and Yellow channels. Works like a charm.
I'm seeing his hood lining as orange (it was yellow) on your adjustment, Jamie- that seems to be a fairly drastic color discrepancy- I have to hit the hay , but i'll definitely look into it tomorrow. Guten nacht.
</i>"Jamie- that seems to be a fairly drastic color discrepancy-"<p> Exactly. That should give you some idea of how wacked your current set-up is. The yellow of the coat liner is being dragged into the red as the skin tones are brought into line. Skin tone is all about Red/Yellow.
</i>Tom, pay no attention to Jamie's <i>"That should give you some idea of how wacked your current set-up is. The yellow of the coat liner is being dragged into the red as the skin tones are brought into line. "</i> <br> <br> It's simple enough to adjust the skin colours without touching the coat liner, etc. You don't even have to mask it or anything simply select the skin tone and how 'fuzzy' you want that selection to be and then adjust it using hue, saturation and lighness.<br> Here's a 45 seconds quickie. If you spent 5 mins on it I bet you can get it exactly to where you want.<div> </div>
"Tom, pay no attention to Jamie's "That..." Don't much care for your tone there Rich. Jamie's only trying to help/instruct.
Poorly phrased by me. I should have said something like "In addition to what Jamie suggested, you may also..."
I'm sure mom can bring you a big glass of warm milk and maybe let you sleep in your tiger pj's tonite. Big boy now.
Well Rich, let's adjust the color again, using your method, including the liner, and see where it ends up on the spectrum? I stand by what I said. The skin tones are dramaticly off and if they appear OK on Tom's monitor--it's whacked. The fact the liner was dragged completely off the scale would indicate it was not a minor correction. Also, I am posting information to share what is, admittedly, recent gained knowledge, and is not an attempt to belittle people. Have a nice day, jerk.
