  5. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] Ice House Canyon Trail to Bighorn Peak in the So-Cal San Gabriel Mts. The big view and the tree in b/w is on the high ridge between Bighorn and Ontario peaks. The forest is in Ice House Canyon. Enjoy.

  6. Again billblackwellphotograhy - quite amazing. I'll echo Greg M's comment - must have been a fabulous ride. Allen Herbert - a great shot. My shots this week are from my spouse's and my visit to the Bellingen markets. We stayed at the urunga hotel, built in 1827.

    urunga1.jpg

The standard of accommodation is just that, 1827, but with the added benefit of closing noise. While it was an interesting experience, if uncomfortable, I would not do it again. The rooms are bare, other than a sink. shared toilets and showers after a long walk. No fridge, no microwave, and no coffee making facilities. It would have great prospects if renovated. It's called the 'ocean view hotel', but is in reality, the ocean glimpses hote. Don't I gripe. Herewith a shot of the chef from its bistro, and a couple of shots of its patrons, a mix of youngsters and late middle aged. Shots from the markets will be next week. All with my monochrom and go to lens. Regards, Arthur (apiarist1).

  12. Stric1975, now that is a good use of space (and you have the benefit of a great model). Was the vignetting purposeful, or just happenstance - a great shot. Actually, looking at it again, its better than good. Tell me, what story did you want to say here?

Jlineen - that's good. I am untravelled in the world, where is this a photo of? What was the film you used (looks like fuji to me - the palette. But tell us). And welcome to the forum. Looking forward to more shots like this.

JDW - horizons? Apart from that, how do you get that density of color? It's so good.

    Regards, Arthur
