soeren_engelbrecht1
Hi,

I've been googling a bit without finding an answer to this... I know that using the Nikon FT-1 adapter, I can get M and A modes with Ai lenses, i.e., the meter works without a CPU in the lens. The FT-1 iself has contacts, but I do not know, if has electronics inside or just passes through the CPU info like third party extension tubes sometimes do.

I am thinking about a third party Leica to Nikon1 adapter that (a) is much cheaper (b) is much smaller © will let me use my petite Summicron 40/2 as a fast 105 portrait lens. But will this combination meter ?? I don't have a camera to test it out, and adapters are apparently on the other side of the planet from me...

Thanks in advance,
Soeren

leslie_cheung
Is there an lens adapter? The 2.7x crop factor isn't very attractive and you'll be losing 1's big appeal, the awesome AF!...Get the Nex or a micro 4/3rd imo. With the olys, there is IBIS:)
leslie_cheung
Okay, there are adapters. And your 40mm idea sounds good...let's hope someone knows your answer. But I still think that the big appeal of the 1 is the AF tho. FWIW, there are m4/3rds bodies for merely 1/2 -1/3 price of the nikon 1...
