marko_marovic
I have never seen it. Maybe its a prototype? Have you found any serial number on it? Nice find.
John Seaman
Similar to an Ikoflex 1 850/16, this is the nearest I could find: Ikoflex I 850/16 Perhaps the aluminium rings were to allow different size filters to be fitted.
Dan Deary
I have an identical model which I believe is a Ikoflex I (850/16) #H83838,made between 1939-1951. I found this info in McKeowns guide. What confuses me is your description of the shutter. The release button in the picture is on top(upper left in pic). The shutter cocking should be a separate operation. My example is in poor condition with questionable focusing and the the mirror is almost completely desilvered. The shutter however works great. There is no coating on the Novar lens. The serial # is on the bottom embossed in the leather by the tripod mount. Dan Deary
andrew_spence1
guys thanks for you replies i made a mistake about the shutter you cock it with the lower lever and release it as normal using the top chrome button the aluminium rims are machine pressed on and look like it was factory fitted over the original part thats threaded for filters look like they are just for aesthetics the serial number is on the bottom is H77692 its all restored now ive just got to do the restitching on the case and put 2 British Army REME badges on it the seller sent me info on her dads ww2 unit and in 1947 just before he came home they changed the badge for the REME so ill put both ww2 versions on it again thanks for your replies regards Andrew
