leicaglow
I've always been curious about what the two metal lugs are used for on the front of the Hasselblad prism finder (I think the PM5 has them), as in this photo: http://www.djcphoto.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/hassy_portrait_right.jpg

Anyone know?
q.g._de_bakker
Everyone who has such a thing knows. ;-)
The left one (seen from the front) switches the meter on (switches itself off automatically). The right one is the battery compartment door handle.

Only prisms that also house a meter have them, which is marked by an "E" in the type name. So, for instance, the PME5 does, but the PM5 does not.
leicaglow
Ohhhh. I bought my PM5 off of fleabay, many years ago. The lugs don't move at all when I push them, and I surmised they might be electrodes or some electrical interface. Whomever I bought it from must have swapped some parts from a PME5 for some reason. My prism definitely has no meter or battery holder. Thanks QG.
