to photograph a person with black background for a billboard/brochure

If I want to photograph a person with a black background, (for an advertisement on billboard and brochure), can the background go completely black (that is '0') in the tiff file ? Or do I need to have some detail in the black to allow the printer to make the backgroud fully black on a billboard or brochure.<br>

<p>The graphics people preparing the final output have complete control over that - I wouldn't worry about it. If your backdrop happens to go 0,0,0 - fine. If it doesn't but they can still mask around your subject and render it that way themselves, that's fine too. If you're close to black, that will be close enough for the layout/design folks. Just make your subject look good!</p>
