shoppix
what do you guy/gals do, or have done, when asked to "show me your portfolio" by an SID, AD or other person in charge? I working on getting selects together from the various sports I've shot which in itself is not easy. But, following that, you make a bunch of prints to put into a 'hard copy' portfolio. I've shot youth soccer and baseball, HS - several sports, and a little college basketball, field hockey and soccer. How do you lay out the actual pages?? One photo pper page, 2, 5? When going to a HS AD would you just present or show images from other HS games, or include some from youth and/or college. I assume that if asking to shoot sports you would only include images from a sporting activity, right? Has anyone seen a thread discussing portfolios - the hard copy, show and tell type? andrew_dodson
I shoot for newspapers- I save the PDF's (if you shoot for a paper, you can get access to these) and then I print off those PDF's at a Kinko's or something. Some nice hard copy prints are nice- but don't over do it. Employers like PDF's because they can see how your work is laid out in production.
