peng_kit_wong
I will be doing a project; shooting a dark warehouse/cellar with strobes. I have very little experience with slide using strobes. Normally I shoot outdoor under natural lighting. I have no idea what slide film is good with strobes and I have no time to do any test. The shooting is day after tomorrow! 1) What slide film would you use for this situation? I will be using a tripod, so film speed is not a question. 2) Besides the dark cellar, I will be shooting a few shots of people in the cellar. What film would you use? Please advise and tell me what you would do if you were in my shoes.I appreciate all comments and advice. Thanks!
michael_hohner
Shooting with flash and little ambient light means high contrast. I'd use a low-contrast film, eg. Fuji New Sensia 100 or Astia 100F. Also, the light from many flash units is a bit cooler than daylight, so using a warming filter or warm-balanced film (eg. Kodak E100GX) may be a good idea as well. discpad
E100G is slightly more neutral and accurate than E100GX. You may also want to drop a Tiffen 812 filter over the lens for people shots, to keep their skin from looking pale.
