Ken Katz
Just received this from Digital Light & Color: http://www.dl-c.com/board/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1235 The latest version of PWP, without any copy protection, is available for download. While I transitioned to Lightroom a number of years ago, PWP was the first photo editor I used, and in 2001, was an affordable product that could handle 16 bit TIFFs and had color space management capabilities. brian yarvin
It was the first for me too. Yes, I had to finally turn to Capture One as my need grew, but I still recommend it to beginners. Oh well.
John Seaman
Why the doom and gloom? I was prompted to download and install it by this thread. It's free with no copy protection, as stated - like Nik Efex.I don't think it will replace CS5 but its an option at least.
Ken Katz
Not doom and gloom, but it is certainly not a celebration when a photo editing software provider closes its doors, removing another Adobe alternative. Yes the final version of PWP is now essentially freeware, but it also means no support or updates.
