Question to those of you who bought a 5D and use PS CS2

After realizing that PS CS 2 was not recognizing my CR2 RAW files, I did some

research on the Internet and learned that I had to download the Adobe DNG

Converter, which I did.

This was last night and after doing so, I was able to view the RAW files in

Adobe Bridge instead of just the CR2 Icon. So I logged off and went to sleep and

today, when I logged back on, nothing shows up on Adobe Bridge.

Not a single file that I downloaded yesterday nor any of the hundreds of file I

already on my hard drive. I can view them fine on BreezeBrowser, but not on Bridge.

Any suggestions?

Well, considering the 5D came out six months AFTER PS CS2 and you are not in the habit of ever updating your original CS2 what did you expect? CS2 to be prescient (i.e., forwardly compatible)?

It's well documented here and everywhere, assuming proper research is conducted, that ACR 3.3 and newer fully support the 5D RAW format.

Like was said, the DNG thing you found is a complete red herring -- DNG is OK for BACKWARDS compatibility within Photoshop.

Download the latest and greatest RAW from Adobe and you'll be good to go.
