graham_martin2
I have a question about using the 3 banks for 3 different speedlights. How would I set it up so that I can quickly switch back and forth between banks? For example, I want bank 1 & 2 to fire but not bank 3 but a few minutes later I want banks 1,2 & 3 to fire. Is there a quick way to do that? On my Strato II transmitter it was very easy to simply push the button on the different banks with, say, 1 & 2 turned on and 3 turned off. If I then wanted to also fire bank 3 it was very easy to quickly push in the bank 3 button. The Odin system doesn't seem to allow that functionality to be done quickly.
Palouse
Yeah, it's not a one-button affair, but it is easy.

Press the Selection button [sEL] to cycle through groups A, B, or C.

The Mode button will let you pick from TTL, (M) Manual, or Off functions. (Off is shown by three dashes/underscores _ _ _). Fast Exit by pressing the Power Button.
DONE.
Or spend the $$s for the new Odin II.
graham_martin2
So, it sounds like a lot of clicking to be done in order to turn one bank on, and then turn another one on or off. With the Stratos transmitter, all I had to do was push the appropriate bank button on/off and voila!
Palouse
Sadly, I agree. But then, it does beat the alternative of walking over to each flash in turn! Wonder why it was left off the Odin, but came back on Odin II?
graham_martin2
I checked with B&H but the Odin II is not available yet. The price for the TX is $209 which is only $10 more than the Odin I. Considering the extra features, I would say that it is a good price.
Palouse
I don't use mine enough to justify the upgrade. Maybe when I retire in 15 months :-)
