Mark Keefer
Asked about every 6 months, has anyone ever tried or know someone who has tried the Purchase a Print option in your gallery? I have had a few with that option back in the Photo.net 1.0 days. Never heard of one selling, never to my knowledge. Same with other sites. I had a couple prints sell at a brick and mortar boutique shop up in an artsy little town near me. I broke even for the two prints framed that sold out of 8 I supplied, they were all framed behind glass. The owner closed up shop over a year ago and left town. I have no idea what happened to the 6 prints that didn't sell and I am OK with it, I hope the owner has them on his walls. He was a pretty cool guy and I don't think he was getting rich with that little shop after overhead, expenses and cost of living. Probably why he closed up shop. As I said, i broke even on out of pocket expense, got nothing for my time, but I could say I had some work sell. Guess it's good enough to be in the starving artist club. 1 Cheers, Mark

philip_carlo_jorgensen
How did the prints look? I do not know how to make a direct link to a specific photo of mine, but if you go to my page and click on the button "most admired" and look for a photo I have called "Drip drip drop" that is one example of trying to put it on sale but having no response from anybody. Sanford
If someone wanted a print I would to like to be able to guide them to the "Purchase a Print" box, but I can't recommend something with zero feedback.
